Pomegranate

The plant has bright-green, elliptic to lance-shaped leaves about 7.5 cm long. It produces orange-red flowers at the branch tips. The fruit, about the size of a large orange, has a smooth, leathery skin that turns from brownish-yellow to red and contains juicy, reddish arils surrounding an elongated seed.
